At eames-chair.com, we want you to love your new Eames-style or mid-century chair. If something is not right, we make returning or refunding simple and fair. This policy works alongside your legal rights in the EU.

Your Legal Rights

Under EU consumer laws, you have strong protection when shopping online:

  • Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for purpose.
  • If an item is faulty or not as described, you can ask for repair, replacement, or refund.
  • For distance sales, you usually have 14 days to change your mind (cooling-off period) and return items without reason.

These rights cannot be taken away. Contact us straight away if something is wrong – we will sort it quickly.

Our Voluntary 14-Day Returns

In addition to your legal rights, we offer an easy 14-day return period from the day you receive your order.

You can return items if you change your mind, as long as:

  • The chair is unused and in new condition.
  • All original packaging, tags, and parts are included.
  • Made-to-order or personalised items are only returnable if faulty.

We refund the full item price. You pay the cost of return postage (we suggest tracked delivery). If the item is faulty or we sent the wrong one, we cover all costs.

How to Return an Item

Follow these simple steps:

  1. Email support@eames-chair.com with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We will reply with instructions and a returns reference.
  3. Pack the item securely in original packaging.
  4. Send it back to the address we provide (use tracked postage).
  5. Once we receive and check it, we process your refund within 14 days to your original payment method.

We will email you updates at each stage.

Refunds

Refunds go back to your original payment method. They usually appear within a few days, but banks can take up to 10 days.

If your refund is late, check your account first, then contact us – we will help.

Damaged or Faulty Items

If your chair arrives damaged or develops a fault, take photos and contact us within 48 hours (or as soon as you notice). We will arrange collection (free) and send a replacement or full refund.
